A governed company travel workspace developed in house by Mousehold Studio for bookers, travel managers and finance teams.

The challenge

Company travel involves more than booking a car. Teams need to coordinate employees and guests, control who can book, apply budgets and cost centres, review exceptions and keep invoices connected to the journeys that created them.

The work

Mousehold Studio designed and developed the Business Portal in house as a dedicated workspace for company travel. Authorised users can book journeys, manage travellers, set policies, route exceptions for approval and review activity, spend and invoices without entering the dispatcher console.

The outcome

Business customers can organise and govern their travel from one account. Bookers get a clear route through each journey, while managers and finance teams retain visibility over permissions, policy, cost and payment.

Approval alerts, cost-centre charts, frequent travellers and popular routes help explain where that spend came from.

The quoted fare remains visible before confirmation, giving the company a clear record of who is travelling, where and why.

Business Portal booking policy controls for fares, approvals, times and ride types — **Booking policy and approvals**Account owners can set a maximum fare, require approval above a chosen amount, limit booking days and pickup times, require cost centres and control permitted ride types. A journey that breaks a rule can be held for review instead of being accepted silently.
